Splayed Hanging Shelf

This early (1820-40) and unusual  splayed hanging shelf was made in New Hampshire. The Maple shelves are held together with Cherry supports.  All wood pegged construction. These features make for a very striking and unique piece.

The overall height of the shelf is 46″. The bottom shelf is 36″ wide, narrowing to the top shelf which is 12″ wide. The depth of the shelves is 6″.
