The Cole Family has been making pottery in North Carolina since the 1700’s. With a strong lineage behind her, Sandy Cole continues the family’s craft. She and her husband, Kevin, started North Cole Pottery in 1989. All of their pottery is handmade and wheel-thrown stoneware. Over the years, they have developed a wide range of colorful glazes to complement their many shapes of clay. 

This happy snake jug, with its’ beautifully executed pleasing form and glaze colors, is an excellent example Sandy’s meticulous work.
